This has been our first season really watching, faithfully, almost every episode. I was excited for the FINALE. We got the kids in bed at about 7:45 on Finale Night. Starting at 7:00 pm we were casually watching it while getting the boys ready for bed time. Once the kids were down we settled down on our bed and were going to really pay attention and focus on the show. At 8:00 (with one hour left until the announcement of the winner) Frank got up to check something on the internet. Important note: the computer is in our room where we were watching TV. He got online and gasped, so automatically I looked over and there blazing all over the screen was the announcement of David Cook being the winner. Ahhhh- what a ruined suprise. So much for watching the rest of the show.

yeah, having it start an hour later here just set people up for a ruined surprise. Of course people are going to check if they can. Next year they should start it at 8:00 eastern and have everyone find out at the same time, Live! Yeah David Cook!!! You rock!
