Since Michael (Frank's brother) and McKinzie are currently staying in Twin Falls, ID for the summer we need to take advantage and see them whenever possible. We have been up there once already and they have been down to our house twice. We decided to make our second trip up there for the 4th of July. It was so great to see them. We played at the park, went swimming every day, got Snoasis Shaved Icees, went out to eat a lot (which is fun for the kids, but not mom and dad), went to the local Planetarium museum, watched the local college firework show on the 4th, and went to the drive-inn and saw Kung-Fu panda (for the 2nd time) and a little bit of the new Indiana Jones movie. These were the highlights.
Unfortunately, it wouldn't be a Cole vacation without some setbacks. Which were: our hotel looked like one from a horror-massacre film, it was old and gross, and the first morning I woke-up there were ants and a spider in the bathroom. The hotel workers looked like actors/actresses from the "horror film"- we tried to find an alternate hotel within a reasonable price range, but no luck. After the first night of dinner at Chili's Gavin got food poisoning and had uncontrollable moments of sickness throughout the entire weekend and Frank ended up getting sick the last night, but felt better by morning. Because of Gavin's sickness we saw a lot of the inside of our hotel room, which we didn't like in the first place. When we did get to go over to McKinzie's parent's house to play with Georgia (their dog) Frank had a severe allergy attack (to the dog). Besides these cumbersome moments we had a great time visiting family and we are grateful for the chance before they move back up to Moscow, ID.

I'm glad you were still able to have a fun weekend, even though you had setbacks. Poor Gavin, nothing is worse than being sick on vacation. I bet home seemed so much better when you got back!
