Every other year we have a Family Reunion on my dad's side of the family. It has shifted traditions a little bit for the activities we do each year but the basics stay the same. For example, the Friday night of Labor Day weekend usually consists of a family activity, Saturday is golfing for the men (and the women who want to join them) and the rest of the family usually hangs out and shops at Gardner Village followed by lunch somewhere, then we meet up with the men, get cleaned up and ready for a big family dinner at a park, then Sunday is golf for those who do it on Sunday, then all the children (not grandchildren or great-grandchildren) of my grandpa get together that night for dinner or dessert.
This year for the Friday night activity we were able to meet everyone and go to "Snooty and the Beast" at Desert Star Playhouse (these are funny spoofs about the real story/fairy tale). It was a pretty good one and we had a great time. Then we already had plans on Saturday to visit some friends in Kaysville while Frank did a book signing and then go to a Baptism in South Ogden so we didn't make any of the family events.
This whole time my dad also had a cousin drive up from California to join the festivities and stay at my parents house. My sister, brother-in-law, and baby, and my younger brother all came up from Provo for the weekend and stayed at our house. It was so much fun hanging out with them and having the two babies just walk around and jabber at each other as if they really understood what they were saying.
Monday, we ended our fun weekend by going to Silver Lake during the day and then having a family BBQ with just my immediate family. Let me just say, Labor Day weekend is not the weekend to avoid crowds up in the canyon. We walked around the Lake in a continuous line. I've never seen it so crazy. We still had a good time though.

Wow, what a busy and fun weekend!
Love your family reunion agenda! I would be all for splitting up a little with some variety and not having to spend an entire day at a park roasting in the heat. Glad you had a great weekend.
Wow, looks like you guys had a good time! Silver Lake is a fun area.
looks like fun, I wish we did something like that!
